We recently produced a new range of soakaways which are being used by P B Doyle Construction Ltd. The bolt together panel design can be custom made to your specifications and allows for easy storage and installation on site. The chambers can hold up to 14400 litres and the cover slab options are rated from 40kN to 170kN maximum axle load.
“We would certainly recommend this product and look to use it on other projects in the future.”

“We are a main contractor working on a large commercial project to an existing warehouse in Mildenhall, Suffolk.
The project involves the complete refurbishment of the existing warehouse and the provision of new concrete hardstanding with an area exceeding 5000m2 in Phase 1 alone. The drainage design required a number of significant size soakaways around the site to help discharge surface water from the roof and hardstandings.
A number of options were investigated by the design team with the final design being a precast box soakaway supplied by JKH Ltd and surround with stone filling.
We found the product very easy to use on site. The precast units are lightweight and could be lifted into position by our 360 excavator without the need for cranes. The units where bolted together in a matter of minutes by our groundworkers and came with ‘knock out’ sections to allow the pipework to easily connect into the soakaway avoiding further time and cost to make the holes.
They also help to provide a significant area to help attenuate and control how the surface water dissipates into the ground and may also lend itself to large chambers for services on bigger sites.
