Sales administrator Supervisor
(maternity cover).

Managing a team of four Sales Administrators, this role is responsible for leading sales administration within the business, ensuring that enquiries and orders are dealt with in a timely manner and that a high level of customer service is provided to all JKH customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expert Knowledge: Be the go-to person for department processes.
  • Order Management: & Processing: Take full ownership of sales inboxes, ensuring all enquiries, quotes and orders are addressed within 24 hours.  Process orders using Cadly, coordinating with the Design Supervisor for special designs.
  • Customer Service & Complaint Resolution: Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring team members build strong relationships with JKH customers. Actively follow up on enquiries, gathering feedback on timescales, contract outcomes, and pricing. Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Resourcing: Manage department resourcing needs, ensuring adequate headcount to meet targets.
  • Recruitment, Induction & Onboarding: Assist with drafting job descriptions, reviewing applications, and conducting interviews. Oversee the induction process, ensuring new starters are well-integrated and trained.
  • Training, Development & Appraisals: Hold regular one-to-one meetings, support team wellbeing, and provide constructive feedback. Support succession planning, identify top performers, and develop employee growth plans. Conduct annual and mid-year appraisals, setting and reviewing objectives, and recommending pay band adjustments.

Person Specification:

  • Experience managing sales administration in a production/manufacturing environment providing a high level of customer service.
  • Experience of working with technical drawings (desirable)
  • Experience of managing and leading a team, including managing HR related issues and supporting with training and development.
  • Good knowledge of MS packages including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, project management skills with good attention to detail and be able to prioritise effectively.
  • Have a proactive continuous improvement mindset and be able to coach and support colleagues across the business.
  • An enthusiastic engaged attitude and eagerness to help JKH to continue to grow as a business.
